Mrs. Scarlett Bailey

Attendance specialist

Mrs. Bailey has been a Panther since 2023, but she has a long history with our school. Her daughter Wynter was in the Panther Class of 2017, and Scarlett previously worked for us as a substitute teacher and as the attendance specialist during the 2016-17 school year.  Mrs. Bailey's husband, Chris, can be seen on WKYT Channel 27 as our popular local meteorologist!  Mrs. Bailey is from Ashland, KY.

Mrs. Kris Church

Associate principal

Mrs. Church has been a Panther since 2016.  She joined the staff as the achievement and compliance coach, overseeing all ARC meetings, and coaching staff on best practices and instructional strategies.  Prior to becoming a Panther, Mrs. Church worked in Atlanta, GA in public relations, before joining Southern Middle School as an exceptional child educator.  Mrs. Church is from New Orleans, LA.

Mrs. Becki Cornett

Administrative assistant

Mrs. Cornett has been a Panther since 2021.  She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and has spent over 20 years in the dental industry, both as a dental hygienist and a business manager.  Mrs. Cornett is from Hazard, KY.

Mr. Sammy Hall

Dean of students and digital learning coach

Mr. Hall has been a Panther since 2006.  Beginning his career at EJH, Mr. Hall previously taught sixth and seventh grade math, as well as math intervention.  He served as head volleyball and boys' basketball coach, winning district championships in both sports.  Mr. Hall and his wife LeAnn, 8th grade Panthers, are the parents of Mark and Samuel.  Mr. Hall is from Cumberland, KY.

Mr. Joseph Holland

Safety resource officer

Officer Holland is a veteran of the United States Army. He served for eight years and has deployed to Iraq. He is a retired detective from Lexington Police. During his time with Lexington Police, he spent several years on patrol, where he was a field training officer, and a member of the honor guard for several years.  He was last assigned to the Auto Crimes Unit.  He is a graduate of Midway University with a bachelor’s in business management and a graduate of Tiffin University with a master's degree in public policy and administration.  He has two young boys, operates a small family farm, and volunteers with 4-H. Originally from Fostoria, Ohio near Toledo.

Mr. David Hoskins

Principal

Mr. Hoskins has been a Panther since 2004.  He was a member of the inaugural Panther faculty as an 8th grade language arts teacher and head football coach.  Prior to joining EJH, he worked at Elkhorn Middle School as a language arts teacher, football coach, and intramural director.  Mr. Hoskins oversees the language arts and science departments, and handles sixth grade management and discipline.  Mr. Hoskins is from Hazard, KY.

Mrs. Nikki Kiser

Book keeper

Mrs. Kiser has been a Panthers since 2020.  Previously, Mrs. Kiser served as the school administrative manager for Garden Springs Elementary School, then as the community liasion for Winburn Middle School.  She earned her Educational Office Employee certification from the National Association of Educational Office Professionals, and is one of only 12 FCPS employees to hold this distinction.  Mrs. Kiser is from Elkhart, IN.

Mrs. Lisa Norris

Front office assistant

Mrs. Norris has been a Panther since 2023.  Prior to joining EJH, she worked for several years in the banking industry in Florida and Kentucky.    She is a mother to three Panthers- Brody, Blaine, and Brayden.  Mrs. Norris is from Englewood, FL.

Mrs. Jessica Moore

Professional Growth and Effectiveness Coach

Mrs. Moore has been a Panther since 2016.  Prior to joining EJH, she worked as a psychologist for Comprehensive Care, then as a exceptional child educator in Woodford Co.  In 2016, she joined the ECE department at EJH, then was named the ECE counselor in 2020.  Her role changed to instructional coach in 2022.  Mrs. Moore is from Louisville, KY.

Mr. Matthew Sherrard

Associate Principal

Mr. Sherrard has been a Panther since 2004.  A member of the inaugural EJH faculty, Mr. Sherrard is a former sixth grade social studies teacher, and has served our school as head volleyball coach, track coach, team leader, and department chair.  In addition he has served on the SBDM council.  Mr. Sherrard oversees the exploratory program and social studies department, as well as seventh grade management and discipline, and athletics.  Prior to EJH, he taught and coached at Bryan Station Middle School.  Mr. Sherrard is from Flaherty, KY.

Mrs. Andrea Straub

Achievement and compliance coach

Mrs. Straub has been a Panther since 2013.  Formerly, she served as an exceptional child educator, head dance coach, and department chair.  In 2021, she was named the new achievement and compliance coach.  Mrs. Straub is from Louisville, KY.
