Fourteen Edythe J. Hayes Middle School students made the American Choral Directors Association's All-State Honor Choir. Students competed for a chance to earn a spot and sing at the University of Kentucky in November with the other top singers in the state. Ms. Levey, Hayes' choir director and music teacher, is very proud of these students. Founded in 1959, the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) is a nonprofit music-education organization whose central purpose is to promote excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publication, research, and teaching.
