EJ Hayes Students Selected for Headley Whitney Museum’s Improbable Baubles Exhibit

Several talented E.J. Hayes students have been selected to represent our school in the Headley Whitney Museum Improbable Baubles Exhibit: Creatures of Nature Bibelot Competition. These students were voted by their peers for the honor of participating in this exciting event, which showcases creative works from middle school artists across the district.

The competition challenged students to create bibelots — small, decorative sculptures constructed from recycled materials and “trash.” Each piece had to represent a mythological or realistic creature and fit within a 10x10x10-inch design. The creativity and craftsmanship are truly remarkable.

Their bibelots will be on display at the museum from April 26 through May 25 during regular museum hours (Friday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Artist receptions are slated for 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27.

"This is an incredible honor for our students and a testament to the strength of our Art Club. We are so proud of their hard work and creativity," said Ms. Riley, art teacher and art club sponsor.

Congratulations to our talented artists — you make us Panther Proud!
