Hayes Beta Club Students Earn Honors at Kentucky State Convention

Students from the Edythe J. Hayes Middle School Beta Club recently represented the school with excellence at the Kentucky State Beta Convention, competing in a wide range of academic and creative events while also participating in a statewide service project.

Hayes students competed in more than 20 competitions, including events in Academic Testing, Visual Arts, Marketing and Communication, and other areas that highlight students’ knowledge, creativity, and presentation skills. In addition to competing, students also contributed to the Statewide Service Learning Project, donating supplies and creating activity bags for children in hospitals across Kentucky. The project allowed students to combine leadership and service by supporting young patients who are currently receiving medical care.

Several Hayes students were recognized for their outstanding performances at the convention, earning awards and qualifying to advance to the National Beta Convention.

The following students earned honors:

Luci Diaz – 4th Place, Language Arts

Evy Maggard – 4th Place, Visual Art: Painting

Evy Maggard – 3rd Place, Onsite Art: Painting

Maddox Rios – 3rd Place, Visual Art: Hand-drawn Anime

Hannah Varo – Premier Performer, Dance

These accomplishments reflect the hard work, creativity, and dedication of Hayes Beta Club students as they continue to represent the school community with pride.

The Hayes community congratulates these students on their achievements and looks forward to cheering them on as they represent Edythe J. Hayes Middle School at the National Beta Convention.
