Battle of the Books
About Battle of the Books
"The Battle of the Books is a long-standing national reading incentive program. A voluntary program designed to encourage deep reading in diverse subjects, it has had strong support in Fayette County middle and elementary schools for the last several years. Sponsors from participating schools select titles to include on lists for our local Battle of the Books competition. Students begin reading from the lists in August and compete in a series of competitions in the spring. The winning teams from each level bring a much coveted trophy home to their schools." - From FCPS Media Services
