Student Council

About the Student Council

Each year, students conduct an election for the offices of president, vice president and secretary.  Along with team representatives, these students meet the second Thursday of each month at 8 a.m. to decide on various civic projects to conduct at school.  Student Council is in charge of Red Ribbon Week which educates students to the dangers of drugs and alcohol. The council also helps with Veteran’s Day and sponsors numerous school spirit days throughout the school year. In addition, the council decides ways to enhance our school and community. The council is open to all students at Hayes who want to become leaders.
